Helen Kuo, O.D.

Dr. Kuo was born and raised in Houston, TX.  She graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Biology and Journalism from Baylor University. She then received her Doctorate degree in Optometry with Honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry and graduated as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.  She completed her optometric medical training pre and post refractive surgery at Slade & Baker Vision Center and in Ocular Disease at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She is certified by the Texas Optometry Board as a therapeutic optometrist and as an Ocular Glaucoma Specialist. She practices full-scope optometry with an emphasis on all different types of contact lens fits, pediatrics, and refractive surgery consultation and co-management.

Dr. Kuo was instrumental in establishing Atasca Eye Center in 2005 where she is a partner and co-founder.  She also serves as a clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry supervising other optometrists and testing optometry candidates for licensure. She speaks Chinese, English, and is able to perform examinations in Spanish.

Dr. Kuo is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association. Locally, she is also a member of the Humble Area Chamber of Commerce. In her free time, Dr. Kuo enjoys traveling, running, and movies.

Dr. Kuo is available to see patients on Mondays & Fridays.

Dai “Guy” Bui, O.D.

Dr. Bui was born in Saigon, Vietnam and grew up in Port Arthur, TX.  He received both his Bachelors of Science and Doctorate degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He completed his optometric medical training in Ocular Disease and Refractive Surgery at the Eye Center of Texas in Houston and Randolf Air Force Base in San Antonio. He is certified by the Texas Optometry Board as a therapeutic optometrist and as an Ocular Glaucoma Specialist. He practices full-scope optometry and specializes in the treatment of eye diseases, eye infections, and cataract surgery co-management.

Dr. Bui helped establish Atasca Eye Center in 2005 where he is a partner and clinic director.  He speaks Vietnamese, English, and can perform examinations in Spanish.

Dr. Bui is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Texas Optometric Association. Locally, he is a proud member of the Humble Area Chamber of Commerce and the Atascocita High School All Sports Booster Club.  In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his family.

Dr. Bui is available to see patients on Tuesdays-Thursdays and Saturdays by appointment only.
